Who can participate in Paladin Fitness events?
Paladin Fitness welcomes individuals of all fitness levels aged 16 and above. Our events are designed to be inclusive, offering various divisions to ensure a supportive and engaging experience for everyone.
What does a Paladin Fitness Race entail?
Participants engage in a series of running segments interspersed with functional workout stations. These stations test speed, endurance, strength, and resilience through exercises such as the Concept 2 SkiErg, plate thrusters, walking lunges and more. See the race format for more details.
How can I register for an event?
Registration is straightforward and can be completed online via the Paladin Fitness website. Simply select your desired event, choose the appropriate division, and follow the instructions to complete your booking. Upon successful registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your event details.
What divisions are available, and which one should I choose?
Paladin Fitness offers multiple divisions to cater to different fitness levels:
- Solo: Ideal for individuals seeking to challenge themselves independently.
- Doubles: Perfect for pairs who want to tackle the race together, sharing the workload of the exercises. This can be done as Female, Male or Mixed
What age group do I sign up for?
- Solo – entry age group as per athlete age on the date of the event.
- Doubles – entry as per the youngest athlete. For example, if Athletes are 33 and 38, you enter the under-35s doubles
How should I train for a Paladin Fitness race?
A balanced training regimen that includes strength training, functional movements, cardiovascular exercises, and running is recommended. Functional training facilities like Fitstop, F45, and CrossFit can provide effective preparation. Additionally, Paladin Fitness offers workout resources to assist in your training.
Are there age group categories in Paladin Fitness events?
Yes, Paladin Fitness events feature age group categories to ensure fair competition and camaraderie among participants. Specific age group breakdowns can be found in the event details for each race.
How is race timing managed?
All participants are provided with a timing chip to wear during the race. This system ensures accurate tracking of your overall race time and individual segment times, allowing for detailed performance analysis post-race.
Where can I find my race results after the event?
Race results will be available here. Participants will also receive an email with information on how to access their individual results and performance breakdowns.
Can I volunteer at Paladin Fitness events?
Absolutely! Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of our events. If you’re interested in volunteering, please visit our volunteer information page. Search for the event you are interested in and fill out the volunteer forms.

Can I wear lifting straps or gloves?
No, you can not wear lifting straps or any piece of equipment that may aid in performance. The one exception is gloves to protect your hands.
Do you have judges on the day?
Yes, we provide event judges and marshalls to ensure all athletes are following movement standards and understand the flow of the event. It is the athletes’ responsibility to complete correct repetitions of each movement. Athletes who are performing movements incorrectly will be asked to stop and place weight on the ground.
Your zone judge will then demonstrate the expected movement standards. If you have mobility issues, please advise the registration desk, and we can allocate you a red race number indicating to the Judges you have limitations and need help with modifications.
Can I transfer my ticket to another athlete?
Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another athlete if you can no longer participate. Transfers must be completed before the event’s designated cut-off date. A transfer fee may apply. To initiate a transfer, please contact our support team via [email protected].
Can I transfer my registration to a different event?
If you can’t make it to your registered event, you may be able to transfer your entry to a future Paladin Fitness event, subject to availability. Transfers must be requested before the transfer deadline, and a transfer fee may apply. Contact [email protected].
Is there a deadline for transferring my ticket?
Yes, all transfers must be completed before the event’s transfer deadline, which is typically set a few weeks before race day. Late requests may not be accommodated.
Can I sell my ticket to someone else?

Will there be official event photography?
Yes! Paladin Fitness has partnered with Sportograf, the official event photographer, to capture high-quality race photos. Participants will be able to access and purchase their race photos after the event.
How can I find my race photos?
Race photos will be available on the Sportograf website after the event. Simply enter your race details or bib number to locate and download your images. A link to the gallery will also be shared via email and on the Paladin website.
Can I take my own photos or videos during the event?
Yes, participants and spectators are welcome to take personal photos and videos. However, we ask that you remain mindful of other competitors and do not obstruct the racecourse, workout stations, or official photographers.
Can I bring a professional photographer or videographer?
For professional media coverage, all photographers and videographers must obtain prior approval from Paladin Fitness.
Will the event be filmed?
Yes, Paladin Fitness events may be filmed for promotional purposes, including highlight reels, social media content, and future marketing. By participating, you acknowledge that you may appear in event footage.
Can I request to have my image removed from promotional materials?
If you prefer not to have your image used in promotional content, please contact us via email at [email protected] after the event with specific details, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Will there be hydration stations on the course?
Yes, a hydration station will be provided by our event partners Nutrition Warehouse to keep athletes fueled and hydrated; there will be water and electrolytes available during your race. We recommend bringing your own water bottle for convenience.
How can I get important race-day information?
If you have registered for a Paladin Fitness Race, you should have received an email with your athlete handbook. This document has all the information needed for a smooth race day, including best parking, race flow, wave starts, sponsor details, etc.
A live race briefing will be held on Instagram the day before the event, covering key race details, rules, and logistics. We strongly encourage all athletes to tune in and ask any last-minute questions. A recording will also be available for those who miss it.
How does the doubles division work?
In the doubles format, two athletes compete as a team, completing the full course together while splitting the workout stations. The first and last 800m run must be completed together, while the runs between zones are split into 400m each. When performing the Zones, athletes are allowed to share reps as they please, providing the total number of reps are completed.
When and where is the awards presentation?
The awards presentation will take place shortly after the final race wave of this particular category, recognising top performers in each division. The draft schedule can be found on the events page, and the exact times will be announced on race day, so be sure to check event updates and listen for announcements at the venue.
How do the club champion points work?
At each race, we will crown a gym/club that has amassed the highest points accrued throughout the event. Points are allocated to each athlete for competing (5), volunteering (15) and finishing within the top 10 (1 – 15) of their category.
How do you crown a series champion?
Paladin Fitness features a race series points system, where athletes earn points based on their performance in each event. Points accumulate across the season, with top competitors in each category recognised at the end of the series.
